It’s not long before the Christian world will be getting ready for the most wonderful time of the year – Christmas. It will be a busy time for educators too. As an ESL teacher I dedicate a number of lessons to this major holiday. The occasion is good for getting kids acquainted with Christmas traditions in English-speaking countries as well as for introduction of some useful English vocabulary to students. I have designed a teaching materials kit to help kids learn and memorize the vocabulary related to Christmas, celebration customs and the season of the year. In this first blog post dedicated to Christmas ESL materials I’d like to share my set of printable Christmas flashcards designed to introduce the vocabulary.
