English Idioms in Pictures. Part 1.

Idioms are gems of a language. I love introducing interesting and funny English idioms to my students. I believe that language fluency is impossible without knowing common idioms and expressions. That’s why idioms are a must for my English classes.

Whenever possible I design picture cards to illustrate some idioms and thus help kids learn them in a fun way. The very nature of idioms allows for creating some unusual images. The weirder the picture comes out the better kids will memorize this idiom. In this and future posts dedicated to English expressions, I will be sharing my picture cards that create to get idioms imprinted on my students’ memory.
